We seek an Accounts Payable Assistant for a Full-time position based out of Totowa, NJ headquarters.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the accounts payable coordinator on a daily basis Handling of all corporate & retail invoices Communications between employees, managers, retail stores, and vendors Run the weekly check run Organize the AP files as well as the retail cash receipts for archiving Work closely with all retail managers as well all department managers Prepares incoming checks for deposit, before giving them to the accounts receivable department Receives and verifies employee expense reports Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders and resolving discrepancies Records entry of, verifies documentation for and distributes petty cash Review and monthly analysis of corporate Amex charges for various employees Requirements Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy Must be proficient in excel and other related programs Must be able to learn other accounting software systems Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume High School Diploma (or GED) required $25.
